Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc has been ranked as the 3rd strongest telecom brand worldwide and continues to hold its position as the most valuable telecom brand in the Middle East, according to Brand Finance’s latest “Telecoms 150” Report. The company also secured the 9th spot as the most valuable telecom brand globally.
The “Telecoms 150” Report, developed by Brand Finance, evaluates the world’s top 150 telecom brands using the Brand Strength Index (BSI). The report considers several factors, including resilience, customer perception, and the strength of the brand’s relationship with its audience.
stc Group’s exceptional performance in 2024 led to a 16% increase in its brand value, reaching $16.1 billion. This growth is largely attributed to the Masterbrand strategy, which saw the brand expand into new sectors such as banking, cybersecurity, and B2B services through strategic mergers and acquisitions.
stc Kuwait also demonstrated its strong commitment to digital transformation and operational excellence through several notable achievements in 2024, including:
- Successful testing of 10Gbps using the 6GHz IMT frequency spectrum, marking a first in Kuwait.
- Upgrading from the Main Market to the Premier Market on Boursa Kuwait, enhancing governance and investor confidence.
- Signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Huawei to develop 5.5G intelligent wireless networks, boosting innovation and network performance.
- Launching the first 5G RedCap Fixed Wireless Access in the Middle East.
