du Joins FreeMove Alliance to Expand Mobile Connectivity in the Middle East

UAE-based telecom operator du has become the newest member of the FreeMove Alliance, which includes Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Telia, and TIM. This partnership will extend the alliance’s global mobile connectivity solutions for multinational corporations (MNCs) into the Middle East.

Founded in 2003, the FreeMove Alliance aims to create a centralized hub for global mobile services, helping MNCs optimize their mobile connectivity investments. The alliance already spans over 125 countries through its members and strategic partnerships with companies like Bridge Alliance, BT, Millicom, Eir Evo, NOS, Swisscom, and Turkcell.

With du’s inclusion, the FreeMove Alliance is now able to provide its operators and international customers access to services in the Middle East, offering significant benefits for businesses operating in the region. Du also plans to leverage this partnership to provide its multinational clients with access to the alliance’s enterprise mobility solutions, including centralized management and global business support.

“This partnership will help us enhance our service portfolio and strengthen our mission to serve the international business community with unparalleled telecommunications support,” said Karim Benkirane, du’s Chief Commercial Officer.
