For the first time in Jordan, the European Union-Jordan Business Forum was organized by the European Union Delegation to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in partnership with the Government of Jordan, represented by the Ministry of Investment, and in collaboration with the Jordan Europe Business Association (JEBA). Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II, this inaugural Forum gathered policymakers, local entrepreneurs, international investors, business support organizations, local and international financial institutions, and diplomatic missions to explore effective strategies for mobilizing EU investments in Jordan and to strengthen the well-established EU-Jordan partnership.
During the Forum, Orange Jordan, represented by Chief Corporate Communication and Sustainability Officer Eng. Rana Al Dababneh, presented an insightful overview of the company’s transformative business model during the panel discussion titled “Take Your Business to New Heights” within the session themed “Connectivity and Digital Investment Sectors.”
Eng. Al Dababneh detailed Orange Jordan’s transition from a traditional provider to an enabler of economic growth in Jordan, emphasizing their substantial investments in infrastructure and service innovation. Since its privatization in 2000, Orange Jordan has invested over JD 1.6 billion, focusing primarily on enhancing fixed and mobile internet broadband and voice services to ensure comprehensive coverage and superior quality, including the latest high-capacity networks.
Orange Jordan’s active role in Jordan’s economic ecosystem and its strategic partnership with the EU, which has positively impacted thousands of Jordanians, was a focal point at the Forum. The event provided a platform for collaboration, partnerships, and meaningful discussions underpinned by technology and innovation.
The shared vision of the EU and Orange Jordan to empower and enable Jordanians has yielded significant projects such as the “Innovation Space.” At the EU-Jordan Business Forum, Orange Jordan’s booth showcased the success of this initiative by displaying augmented reality (AR) products and creations from the Fabrication Lab.
Orange Jordan concluded by reaffirming its commitment to private-public partnerships and collaboration with like-minded institutions. The company looks forward to continuing its investment in digital infrastructure, promoting sustainable practices and green technologies, and empowering young Jordanians to leverage these advancements.
