Binance Academy has announced a strategic partnership with Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) to introduce comprehensive blockchain education across the country. This initiative aims to empower 300 educators who will collectively reach 80,000 students across 20 leading universities by 2026, creating a strong pipeline of blockchain talent prepared to contribute to both local and global tech ecosystems.
Blockchain technology is rapidly transforming industries worldwide, and this collaboration positions Pakistan at the forefront of the digital revolution. The program will integrate blockchain education into university curricula, equipping students with the skills needed for careers in blockchain engineering, Web3 development, and related fields.
Set to launch in the coming months, the initiative forms part of the Global University Outreach Program (GUOP)—the largest Web3 educational effort worldwide—led by Binance Academy in collaboration with the Blockchain & AI Technology Center (BAITC). GUOP focuses on embedding blockchain education in universities globally, fostering a new generation of professionals.
The program offers intensive training on blockchain fundamentals, including BNB Chain concepts, Web3 technologies, and Solidity programming. Educators completing the training will be certified and equipped to independently teach blockchain courses and certify their students.
Bader Al Kalooti, MEASA Head of Growth and Operations at Binance, said, “As blockchain reshapes the global financial landscape, empowering people with the right skills is essential. Our partnership with Pakistan’s Ministry of IT and Telecom is a vital step toward building a skilled workforce that will drive innovation and growth in the digital economy.”
Minister of IT and Telecom, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, expressed her strong support, stating, “This partnership is a major milestone in Pakistan’s digital transformation. By collaborating with Binance and BAITC, we are preparing students to lead the digital economy and position Pakistan as a global source of blockchain expertise.”
Since 2022, Binance Academy has trained over 3,000 students in Pakistan through its initial initiatives across 13 universities in three provinces. This new partnership expands the reach and impact of blockchain education nationwide.
Launched in 2023 with a pilot in Kazakhstan, GUOP has now expanded to 20 countries and aims to educate over one million students across more than 200 universities by 2026.
This partnership not only enhances individual career prospects but also supports Pakistan’s economic growth and digital leadership on the global stage. Binance Academy will continue to share updates, success stories, and opportunities as the program progresses, aiming to foster a well-regulated, consumer-protective digital environment in Pakistan’s evolving tech landscape.
