Orange Egypt and Huawei Partner to Deploy Advanced 5G Network Across Egypt

Orange Egypt and Huawei have partnered to deploy advanced 5G technology across Egypt, aiming to provide enhanced connectivity solutions for consumers and businesses. This collaboration will drive the adoption of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR), enabling improved user experiences and fostering new business models within smart cities and Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystems.

Huawei has previously equipped Orange Egypt with its advanced Massive MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) technology for Radio Access Networks (RAN), which optimizes network performance and spectral efficiency. This technology enhances the 5G network by delivering ultra-fast data speeds and seamless connectivity even in high-density areas. Utilizing advanced beamforming and spatial multiplexing, Massive MIMO significantly expands network capacity, allowing Orange Egypt to optimize spectrum usage and offer greater bandwidth to support demanding applications like 4K/8K video streaming, AR, and VR.

Furthermore, Huawei is providing its ‘0 Bit 0 Watt’ energy efficiency platform to Orange Egypt. This AI-powered system reduces energy consumption and operational costs by intelligently managing power use without compromising network performance. The platform supports Orange Egypt’s sustainability efforts by minimizing the carbon footprint and aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on emission reduction and energy conservation.

The partnership also includes deploying Huawei’s E-band microwave technology, which provides ultra-high throughput and low-latency wireless backhaul solutions. This technology is especially beneficial in dense urban centers and rural locations where fiber optic installation is challenging, ensuring reliable and high-speed 5G connectivity nationwide.

Dr. Ayman Amiri, Chief Technology & Information Officer at Orange Egypt, highlighted that the integration of these technologies will not only boost network capabilities but also establish a foundation for smart cities, IoT development, and innovative digital services that will transform Egypt’s telecommunications landscape. Mohamed Youssef, Key Account Executive at Huawei Egypt, emphasized that Huawei’s advanced 5G solutions enable the next generation of mobile networks to deliver faster, more reliable, and energy-efficient services.
