Jazz Partners with British Council and Tech Valley to Expand Digital Learning Nationwide

Jazz, Pakistan’s largest digital operator, has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the British Council and Tech Valley, Google for Education’s official partner in Pakistan, to advance digital learning, capacity building, and social development initiatives across the country. The two-year collaboration aims to bridge educational and digital divides by leveraging Jazz’s vast digital infrastructure alongside the British Council’s global expertise and Tech Valley’s innovative ed-tech solutions.

The partnership will focus on teacher training, youth skill development, and co-creating education technology tailored for underserved communities, aligning with Pakistan’s socio-economic development goals. Syed Zaheer Mehdi, Group Chief Corporate and Regulatory Officer at Jazz, highlighted the commitment to inclusive education irrespective of geography, gender, or circumstance.

James Hampson, British Council Pakistan’s Country Director, expressed pride in joining forces to extend quality education nationwide. Umar Farooq, CEO of Tech Valley, called the collaboration a pivotal step toward building a scalable and holistic learning ecosystem in Pakistan.

This initiative forms part of Jazz’s broader vision to evolve from a telecom provider to a purpose-driven digital platform company, empowering over 100 million users with services spanning fintech, entertainment, cloud, and more, positioning Jazz as a key driver of digital inclusion and opportunity in Pakistan.
