Axentec, the digital services subsidiary of Robi Axiata, announced the launch of Bangladesh’s first Tier-IV cloud platform fully hosted and operated locally, promising complete data sovereignty for domestic enterprises. The new Axentec Cloud targets industries such as banking, healthcare, logistics, e-commerce, and manufacturing, with hosting facilities at its Tier-IV data center in Jashore’s Sheikh Haisna Software Technology Park and an additional site in Bhulta.
The platform features auto scaling, Elastic Load Balancing, enterprise-grade security, and AI-ready infrastructure supporting GPU workloads, cloud containers, and relational database services, enabling AI, ML, and IoT applications. Axentec’s MD and CEO, Adil Hossain Noble, emphasized that the cloud service offers local enterprises full control over their data, ensuring compliance with national regulations while overcoming challenges linked to foreign cloud providers.
Axentec Cloud also provides transparent BDT-based billing and local prepaid options to eliminate foreign exchange complications. The Tier-IV data center officially launched in February 2024, shortly after Axentec began operations as a spinoff from Robi’s ICT arm, Reddot Digital.
