Pay10 Secures Payment Service Provider License in Bahrain, Accelerating Fintech Expansion

Manama, Bahrain – Pay10, a global Alternative Payment Method (APM) platform, has been granted the Ancillary Service Provider – Payment Service Provider License by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB). This regulatory approval marks a strategic milestone in Pay10’s global expansion, reinforcing its commitment to delivering real-time, secure, and inclusive payment solutions for consumers and businesses.

With this license, Pay10 will deploy mobile-first interoperable infrastructure integrated with Bahrain’s domestic payment rails, ensuring compliant, fast, and reliable transactions. This move aligns with Bahrain’s vision of financial inclusion and economic diversification.

Pay10 Chairman Harry Gill expressed honor in receiving the license and highlighted the company’s goal to develop regulator-aligned payment systems focused on user experience for both consumers and merchants in the digital economy.

Bahrain is recognized for its progressive financial system, characterized by agile regulation and strong public-private collaboration. The CBB’s 2025 Financial Stability Report details rapid digitalization trends, including a 20.4% increase in POS and e-commerce transactions in late 2024, significant growth in the Fawri+ real-time payment system, and widespread adoption of contactless payments now exceeding 77% of all POS transactions.

With over 90% of Bahrain’s businesses being SMEs, demand for cost-effective, interoperable, real-time payment solutions is high, yet underserved by legacy systems. Pay10 aims to fill this gap by offering a seamless platform supporting instant payments, merchant services, remittances, and cross-border transactions.

Headquartered in the UAE with offices across 12 countries, Pay10 delivers a secure, scalable payments ecosystem that advances financial inclusion and empowers businesses with lower transaction costs and instant settlements. For more details, visit pay10.bh.
