Egypt Launches Second Edition of Cybersecurity Academy to Train 5,000 Youth and Students

The National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), under Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, has launched the second edition of the Cybersecurity Academy for Emergence and Youth. This national initiative, organized in collaboration with the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) and the National Center for Computer and Network Emergencies (EG-CERT), and supported by global tech leaders including Palo Alto Networks, Google Cloud Security, F5, Trellix, and MCS, aims to build digital resilience among Egyptian youth.

The program targets 5,000 participants divided into three groups: 2,000 school students aged 10–17 trained on safe internet practices and digital awareness; 2,000 university students who will receive technical and freelance skills training to prepare for digital careers; and 1,000 university graduates who will undergo advanced technical and hands-on cybersecurity training in partnership with sponsoring companies to support labor market entry.

The first phase will cover 10 governorates including Greater Cairo, Alexandria, and Aswan. The free program provides group transportation and includes interactive lectures, cybersecurity games, challenges, hands-on workshops, and projects tailored by age group. For the first time, participants will receive accredited academic certificates validating their skills.

This academy represents Egypt’s largest effort to empower youth for secure digital engagement. Applications for the first phase are now open.
