Telecom Egypt Reports 33% Revenue Growth, Strong Profitability and Customer Expansion in H1 2025

Telecom Egypt has posted strong financial results for the first half of 2025, delivering double-digit growth across revenues, profits, and operational metrics.

Total revenue rose 33% year-on-year to EGP 50.6 billion, driven primarily by a 47% surge in Data revenue and a 50% jump in International Incoming Calls. Customer growth was recorded across all key segments: Mobile (+12%), Fixed Broadband (+8%), and Fixed Voice (+6%).

EBITDA increased 43% YoY to EGP 22.1 billion, representing a healthy 44% margin. Normalized net profit (adjusted for FX gains/losses) climbed 50% YoY to EGP 10.3 billion, improving the net profit margin to 20% from 18% in H1 2024.

On the investment front, in-service CapEx stood at EGP 4.8 billion (10% of sales), while cash CapEx fell 47% YoY to EGP 14.4 billion. Free Cash Flow to Firm (FCFF) reached EGP 8.1 billion, equivalent to 36% of EBITDA. The company also improved its leverage profile, reducing net debt/annualized EBITDA to 1.6x, down from 2.4x in H1 2024.

CEO Mohamed Nasr highlighted the launch of 5G services as a key milestone, enhancing customer experience and enabling new digital innovation. He credited disciplined operational efficiency for the strong EBITDA performance and reiterated Telecom Egypt’s commitment to strengthening its network, sustaining profitability, and creating long-term shareholder value.
