Turner & Townsend has been appointed to provide project and cost management services for a major hyperscale data centre development in Dubai, a project set to enhance UAE telecom operator du’s data centre capabilities and expand its hyperscale cloud infrastructure.
The facility, located on a 20,000 sqm greenfield site, will be built with a strong emphasis on resilience, scalability, and energy efficiency, and is targeting LEED Gold certification for sustainability. Upon completion, it is expected to reinforce the UAE’s status as a global digital infrastructure hub and advance its ambitions to become a leading regional centre for artificial intelligence.
Ajay Mangara, Data Centre Lead for the UAE at Turner & Townsend, described the project as a transformative milestone:
“We are thrilled to manage this ground-breaking hyperscale data centre for du. Our role will be to provide expert oversight, leveraging our extensive experience in delivering complex data centre projects both regionally and globally.”
He added that the company is committed to ensuring world-class execution while building a long-term partnership with du to deliver on its ambitious vision.
