The Ministry of Interior has announced the addition of Good Conduct Certificate services to the MyGov application, developed in cooperation with the Information & eGovernment Authority. The new feature, available via the government apps store at bahrain.bh/apps, allows citizens, residents, and even former expatriates to apply for and track their certificates digitally.
The services enable users to request a Good Conduct Certificate, apply from outside Bahrain (for non-Bahrainis and former residents), track application progress, and allow institutions to verify certificate validity. Applicants are required to use the upgraded eKey 2.0 system to access these features.
Students, employees, and other beneficiaries are encouraged to use the MyGov app for faster and more convenient applications. Notably, GCC citizens and expatriates who previously lived in Bahrain for six months or more—and who held a national ID and registered fingerprint—can also apply electronically for certificates while abroad.
The Ministry emphasized that the launch reflects Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to unify and streamline government digital services. It praised the Information & eGovernment Authority for advancing digital transformation and improving service delivery in line with national goals of raising efficiency and enhancing user experience.
Currently, the MyGov app hosts more than 80 government services. It can be downloaded through bahrain.bh/apps or accessed via the national portal bahrain.bh. For additional support, users may contact the Government Services Call Center at 80008001 or submit feedback through the national complaints platform, Tawasul.
