Cash Plus and PayPal Launch Morocco’s First Digital PayPal Withdrawal Service

Cash Plus and PayPal have introduced Morocco’s first fully digital PayPal withdrawal service, enabling users to instantly access their balances in Moroccan dirhams through the Cash Plus Mobile app. Announced on Monday, the partnership eliminates branch visits, paperwork, and intermediaries, offering freelancers, entrepreneurs, creators, and e-commerce sellers a streamlined digital solution.

Otto Williams, Senior Vice President and Regional Head at PayPal for the Middle East and Africa, said the partnership reflects PayPal’s vision of making financial services “digital first, accessible, inclusive, and designed for how people live and work today.” He noted that Moroccan users will now enjoy a faster, simpler, and branch-free experience.

The launch aligns with Morocco’s growing digital economy, where the digital payments market is forecast to expand from $14.29 billion in 2025 to more than $35 billion by 2030. It also supports the National Financial Inclusion Strategy, which seeks to bring 75% of adults into the formal financial system by 2030.

Nabil Amar, President of Cash Plus Group, called the initiative “a key milestone in democratizing access to global financial services.” He emphasized that the service empowers Morocco’s digital generation with instant, secure withdrawals in MAD, bringing autonomy and speed within a single app.

The collaboration underscores PayPal’s broader Middle East and Africa strategy of forging localized partnerships that connect users to the global digital economy. Licensed by Bank Al Maghrib, Cash Plus expands its position as a leading financial services provider, while PayPal leverages its 25 years of global expertise across 200 markets.
