Pakistan Launches Center of Excellence in Gaming & Animation (CEGA) with HUM Network

ISLAMABAD, September 15 – Pakistan’s Ministry of IT & Telecom, through Ignite, has signed an agreement with HUM Network Limited to establish the country’s largest initiative in the gaming and animation sector: the Center of Excellence in Gaming & Animation (CEGA). The initiative aims to strengthen Pakistan’s digital economy by nurturing talent, boosting exports, and positioning the country as a regional hub for creative industries.

CEGA will provide training, state-of-the-art facilities, and incubation opportunities for aspiring professionals in gaming and animation. By equipping youth with cutting-edge skills, the center seeks to create high-value jobs, support entrepreneurship, and enable Pakistan to compete in the rapidly growing global gaming and animation markets.

On the same day, Turkish Ambassador H.E. Irfan Naziroglu met with Federal Minister for IT & Telecommunication, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, to discuss ways to deepen ICT collaboration between Pakistan and Turkey, highlighting the importance of international partnerships in driving innovation and growth in the sector.
