Warba Bank has announced the launch of the sixth edition of its flagship “Rowad” program, designed to empower Kuwaiti and Gulf students with advanced skills in technology, artificial intelligence, and banking innovation. After five years of success, the program has evolved into a leading innovation platform that attracts top students from European universities, particularly in the UK, and equips them to drive digital transformation in the region.
Organized in collaboration with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Innovation Hub, Rowad 6.0 reflects Warba Bank’s commitment to building human capital and fostering a knowledge-based economy. Over the past five editions, the program has graduated nearly 100 students who developed more than 25 innovative projects in fintech, AI, and digital banking solutions.
Deputy CEO of Support Services and Treasury, Anwar Bader Al-Ghaith, emphasized that Rowad is central to Warba’s vision, “Let’s Own Tomorrow,” positioning it as a long-term strategy to prepare the next generation of leaders. He noted that expanding the program to include GCC students reflects the Bank’s belief in Gulf-wide cooperation in education and innovation.
Rowad 6.0 will run for eight weeks, featuring interactive workshops, lectures by global experts, and project-based teamwork. Students will receive training in AI applications for banking, predictive modeling, cybersecurity, UX design, and entrepreneurship. With strong mentorship from Warba Bank and DIFC experts, participants will transform their creative ideas into tangible solutions with real-world impact.
Registration is open until October 9, with selected participants announced on October 15. Students from diverse academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply, as the program values multidisciplinary collaboration. Warba Bank remains dedicated to expanding Rowad in the future, introducing specialized tracks, fostering a strong alumni network, and continuing to contribute to sustainable regional economic growth.
