Nucleon Security Raises $3.5M to Scale Agentic AI-Powered Cybersecurity Across Africa

Morocco- and France-based cybersecurity startup Nucleon Security has raised USD 3.5 million (EUR 3 million) in a funding round led by NewFund Capital, with participation from 212Founders, LoftyInc Capital, Orange Ventures, and Axian Group.

Founded in 2019 by Anas Chanaa, Nucleon Security specializes in agentic AI-powered, Zero Trust cybersecurity solutions designed for continuous, proactive, and automated threat detection and response. Its adaptive technology is already deployed by more than 100 clients worldwide, tailoring defenses to the specific context of each organization.

The new capital will drive the industrialization of its platform and support geographic expansion across Africa, with initial focus on Morocco, Tunisia, Benin, Togo, Côte d’Ivoire, and Madagascar. Beyond scaling operations, Nucleon Security plans to foster an African cybersecurity ecosystem, enabling knowledge exchange and creating locally designed solutions with global export potential.

With the global cost of cybercrime projected to hit USD 10.5 trillion by 2025 and a shortage of nearly 4 million cybersecurity professionals, Nucleon Security sees a critical opportunity to fill the gap by delivering intelligent, automated security solutions while cultivating regional talent.
