Saudi Startup Nuxera AI Raises $2.5 Million to Revolutionize Arabic Healthcare with Native AI

Saudi health-tech startup Nuxera AI has raised $2.5 million in pre-seed funding from Sanabil Venture Studio by Redesign Health, marking a significant milestone for the Kingdom’s AI-driven healthcare innovation. The funding will accelerate Nuxera’s mission to transform clinical workflows with artificial intelligence built specifically for Arabic-speaking healthcare professionals.

Founded by Amin El Hemaily (CEO), Asad Khan (CTO), and Nada Hassan (CCO), Nuxera aims to become the region’s leading AI hub for hospitals, offering Arabic-first solutions that seamlessly integrate into both public and private healthcare systems. The startup’s core vision is to make healthcare across Saudi Arabia more intelligent, efficient, and patient-centered.

At the heart of Nuxera’s innovation is its flagship product, SERA, an AI system that transcribes and codes doctor–patient conversations in real time across 28 Arabic dialects. The tool automatically generates structured clinical notes coded in SNOMED, ACHI, SBS, and ICD-10, cutting documentation time by more than 70%. Another product, the “Talk to Your Data” engine, allows healthcare executives to ask operational, financial, or clinical questions in plain Arabic and receive accurate, data-driven answers instantly.

The new funding will be used to scale Nuxera’s engineering and go-to-market teams in Saudi Arabia, expand hospital deployments, and enhance its AI models through clinical partnerships. Beyond capital, Sanabil Venture Studio will provide operational support, industry expertise, and strategic guidance to accelerate growth.

“This investment is not just validation of our technology — it’s a statement that Saudi innovation is setting global standards,” said CEO Amin El Hemaily. “We designed Nuxera to fit how hospitals already work, to understand how real doctors speak Arabic, and to deliver insights that leaders can act on. We’re not just building a tool; we’re creating an AI engine for accuracy, time, and clarity.”

Joshua Ford, Managing Director at Redesign Health, praised Nuxera’s founders for their deep technical expertise and commitment to solving regional healthcare challenges. “By building Arabic-first AI that understands 28 dialects, they’re meeting a need global players never could,” he said. “Nuxera has the potential to redefine how AI is responsibly integrated into healthcare worldwide.”

A Sanabil Investments spokesperson added, “We’re proud that Nuxera is the first company to emerge from our venture studio with Redesign Health. Their Arabic-first approach exemplifies the kind of bold innovation Saudi founders are bringing to the global stage.”
