UAE Space Agency Unveils Digital Platform to Streamline Space Sector Services

The UAE Space Agency has officially launched its new digital services platform at GITEX Global 2025, marking a major step in the nation’s digital transformation and smart governance agenda. Designed to eliminate bureaucracy and simplify access to space-related services, the platform provides a unified gateway for investors, entrepreneurs, and start-ups to apply for and receive space licences seamlessly.

The platform features a four-step process—register via UAE PASS, submit an application form, undergo agency review, and receive an instant digital licence upon approval. It replaces paper-based transactions with an integrated digital system that enhances efficiency, transparency, and real-time tracking of applications.

His Excellency Eng. Salem Butti Al Qubaisi, Director General of the UAE Space Agency, described the launch as a “major milestone in our smart transformation journey,” emphasizing that it supports national efforts to eliminate government bureaucracy while positioning the UAE as a global hub for space innovation.

The digital platform was developed in line with the UAE Government’s paperless strategy, offering tailored services for start-ups and investors to encourage innovation within a supportive regulatory framework. During its soft launch, the agency issued its first digital licence to Space42, symbolizing a historic leap toward digital governance in the space sector. Space42 praised the efficiency of the process, citing its speed and user-friendly design.

At GITEX Global 2025, the UAE Space Agency showcased live demonstrations of its digital services and announced upcoming projects aimed at strengthening the UAE’s competitiveness in the global space industry. The initiative aligns with the UAE Centennial 2071 vision and the National Space Strategy 2030, underscoring the country’s commitment to building a sustainable, knowledge-driven economy powered by innovation.
