Kathmandu — October 30, 2025:
Nepal Telecom has officially launched free Wi-Fi services at all international and domestic airports across the country, enhancing passenger convenience and digital access as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.
The service rollout began on Tuesday with the activation of free Wi-Fi at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu. The connectivity is currently available in key zones of the international terminal, including arrival halls, departure lounges, VIP rooms, and waiting areas.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the initiative was signed between Sabina Maskey, Managing Director of Nepal Telecom, and Hansa Raj Pandey, General Manager of TIA.
Under the agreement, Nepal Telecom will expand the service nationwide, covering all three international airports and 34 domestic airports in successive phases, ensuring seamless access for travelers across Nepal.
This move aligns with Nepal Telecom’s broader digital inclusion strategy, aimed at improving connectivity infrastructure and promoting public access to free internet services in high-traffic public areas.
