Ericsson and e& launch second cohort of Excelerate& programme

Ericsson and e& have launched the second cohort of Excelerate&, a 12-month professional development programme designed to advance Emirati talent in cutting-edge technology fields, including 5G, cloud computing, AI-driven networks, and business strategy. The initiative directly supports the UAE’s Centennial 2071 vision by fostering a highly skilled workforce capable of driving a knowledge-based, innovation-led economy.

First introduced in 2024, Excelerate& combines structured technical training with mentorship, industry exposure, and hands-on learning. The inaugural cohort completed the programme earlier this year with an immersive visit to Ericsson’s global headquarters in Sweden, where participants engaged with leading experts and explored emerging innovations shaping the future of connectivity.

e& Group Chief People Officer Ali Al Mansoori said the programme equips Emirati professionals with practical, industry-ready skills in next-generation technologies, helping them contribute to the country’s national digital priorities. Ericsson Gulf President Petra Schirren emphasized that the initiative builds the advanced network capabilities required for scalable 5G and cloud adoption across the UAE’s telecom and enterprise sectors.

The launch of the second cohort reinforces the longstanding partnership between Ericsson and e&, which has been instrumental in advancing the UAE’s telecommunications infrastructure. Excelerate& reflects the joint commitment to developing future leaders who will drive the nation’s digital transformation and support its long-term innovation agenda.
