Zain Group has announced three major disability inclusion initiatives to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, reinforcing its long-term WE ABLE 2030 vision under the company’s ‘4WARD – Progress with Purpose’ strategy. The initiatives embed accessibility and disability inclusion as core operational pillars across Zain’s eight-market footprint in the Middle East and Africa.
The first initiative is a new strategic partnership with the Business Disability Forum, aimed at integrating accessibility standards into Zain’s procurement processes. The second opens applications for a new batch of Zain’s GROW program — this time designed specifically for graduates with disabilities. The third introduces personalized Individual Development Plans for employees with disabilities, ensuring structured pathways for career growth and leadership development.
Launched earlier this year, WE ABLE 2030 outlines Zain’s commitment to positioning people with disabilities as co-creators of the technologies, products and digital experiences shaping the future. The vision focuses on inclusive hiring, accessible digital services, authentic advocacy and storytelling, and clear advancement opportunities for employees with disabilities.
Zain Vice Chairman and Group CEO Bader Al-Kharafi emphasized that the initiatives move the company from commitment to execution. “We are redesigning how we hire, develop, procure and advocate, so accessibility is built into every decision we make,” he said. “WE ABLE 2030 is about inside-out transformation, ensuring persons with disabilities are not only included but leading the next chapter of digital progress.”
