KFH – Bahrain announces the launch of “eKey 2.0” for Business (EKEY-B) in collaboration with Beyon Connect

Kuwait Finance House – Bahrain (KFH–Bahrain) has announced the launch of eKey 2.0 for Business (EKEY-B) in collaboration with Beyon Connect, as part of its ongoing digital transformation efforts to deliver a safer and more efficient electronic identity experience for customers.

EKEY-B provides a unified digital identification framework that enables customers to onboard and access banking services quickly and seamlessly, while meeting stringent governance and regulatory requirements. The platform enhances fraud prevention, strengthens data integrity, and improves operational efficiency across banking processes.

Dr. Shadi Zahran, Group Chief Executive Officer of KFH–Bahrain, said the launch reflects the Bank’s commitment to building advanced digital services on trusted technologies and strong security standards. He noted that EKEY-B strengthens customer confidence and delivers a smooth experience from identity verification through to service usage, while supporting the Bank’s future-readiness.

He added that the collaboration represents an effective integration between the banking sector and national technology providers, contributing to the advancement of Bahrain’s digital infrastructure and aligning with the Kingdom’s broader digital transformation agenda.

Samih Abutaleb, Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer – Technology & Operations, said the adoption of EKEY-B is a key step in strengthening the Bank’s digital infrastructure and improving identity-related operational processes, while reinforcing cybersecurity and data governance standards.

Christopher Hild, Chief Executive Officer of Beyon Connect, said the integration marks an important milestone in enabling secure and seamless identity verification, reflecting a shared commitment to delivering future-ready digital solutions that enhance efficiency and customer experience.

Dr. Khalid Ahmed Al Mutawa, Deputy Chief Executive of Operations and Governance at the Information & eGovernment Authority, welcomed KFH–Bahrain to the EKEY-B ecosystem, noting that the move supports Bahrain’s vision for secure, customer-centric digital services and strengthens trust across the financial sector.
