Muscat to Host Fiber Connect Council MENA Conference: Key Opportunities for Investors and Telecom Entrepreneurs in Oman

Muscat will host the 15th Fiber Connect Council MENA Conference and Expo on February 2–3, 2026, under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Dr. Adham bin Turki Al Said, bringing together regional and international leaders in fibre, AI, and communications technologies.

The two-day event will feature 14 leading companies, 20+ expert speakers, and delegates from more than 20 countries across MENA and Europe. An accompanying exhibition will showcase innovations in fibre networks, 5G, IoT, data centres, and digital infrastructure.

Held under the theme “Fiber Empowered Futures: Connecting Intelligence, Infrastructure and Innovation,” the conference will spotlight fibre as the foundational layer for digital economies, supporting next-generation connectivity, open-access models, smart cities, and sustainable infrastructure.

Dr. Alaa Jasim, President of Fiber Connect Council MENA, emphasized that hosting the event in Muscat reflects Oman’s expanding digital infrastructure and alignment with Oman Vision 2040, which prioritizes digital transformation and knowledge-based growth.

A new regional study to be unveiled at the event highlights fibre as the backbone of AI-ready infrastructure, enabling the convergence of FTTH, 5G, data centres, and AI applications. The study also points to a shift toward building computing capacity through investments in hyperscale and sovereign data centres, subsea cables, and fibre-deep networks.

The conference is supported by Oman Broadband Company and Ooredoo as platinum sponsors, with Omantel as technology partner and Earthlink Telecommunications as strategic partner.

The exhibition will provide a strong networking platform for investors, telecom operators, and technology providers to explore partnerships shaping the future of connectivity across the region.
