Vodafone IoT has partnered with Skylo Technologies to trial Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) NB-IoT satellite connectivity, enabling IoT devices to switch seamlessly between terrestrial cellular networks and satellite coverage using a single Vodafone SIM.
The collaboration integrates Skylo’s satellite network—spanning 36 countries and 70 million sq km—with Vodafone IoT’s core network, creating a hybrid connectivity model that overlays satellite access onto existing cellular infrastructure. Customers will be able to manage both cellular and NTN connectivity through Vodafone IoT’s Managed Connectivity Platform.
Designed to meet rising demand for resilient, borderless connectivity, the solution targets use cases such as asset tracking, energy infrastructure, environmental monitoring, and fleet management, particularly in remote or underserved regions.
