Msheireb Properties has signed a strategic agreement with Ooredoo Qatar and Honeywell to enhance the intelligent management of Msheireb Downtown Doha through a new AI-powered smart city platform.
Announced at Web Summit Qatar, the collaboration will see Ooredoo act as the prime operations partner while Honeywell customises its City Suite platform to integrate data from across the district into a single command environment. The system will connect more than 650,000 IoT sensors, 10,000 CCTV cameras, automated parking systems, and existing facility management infrastructure spanning utilities, security, and emergency services.
At the core of the initiative is an AI-enabled command centre supported by advanced analytics and a digital twin of the city’s infrastructure. This will allow engineers to simulate updates, predict maintenance needs, reduce downtime, and improve incident management and operational planning in real time.
The agreement includes five years of managed services to ensure the platform evolves alongside the city’s needs, reinforcing Msheireb Downtown Doha’s reputation as one of the world’s most advanced sustainable urban districts.
