Vodafone IoT has partnered with Hyundai Motor Group to enable connected car services across five Middle Eastern markets, supporting the rollout of advanced in-car connectivity for Hyundai, Kia and Genesis vehicles in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE.
The partnership leverages Vodafone IoT’s Global SIM+ solution, allowing vehicles to access reliable and secure connectivity while complying with local regulatory requirements. The technology dynamically converts global IoT SIMs into local network profiles, enabling seamless cross-border connectivity, local data routing and compliance with national telecommunications laws.
Through collaboration with regional network partners, including e& UAE, the solution ensures network resilience and consistent service quality across markets. The integrated connectivity platform also allows manufacturers to manage connected vehicle services centrally, simplifying operations while supporting global deployment strategies.
Customers will benefit from a range of connected features, including remote vehicle control, real-time monitoring, safety enhancements and convenience services designed to improve the overall digital driving experience. The initiative aligns with Hyundai’s broader Software-Defined Vehicle strategy, aimed at delivering personalised and intelligent mobility services through software and connectivity.
Vodafone IoT and Hyundai plan to expand the partnership into additional markets across the Middle East and Africa as demand for connected mobility solutions continues to grow, reflecting the increasing convergence of telecommunications, IoT and automotive innovation in the region.
