Zain Great Idea: Demo Day unlocks a new wave of regional innovation and investment momentum

Zain Group hosted the Demo Day of its flagship startup accelerator, Zain Great Idea (ZGI), marking the final stage of the programme and opening new pathways for investment, partnerships, and regional expansion for participating startups.

The event brought together founders from 11 technology startups across six Arab markets — Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE — who presented their business models and growth strategies to investors, business partners, and senior industry leaders. The initiative reflects Zain’s strategy of transforming accelerator programmes into long-term growth platforms by linking innovation with commercial opportunities and venture investment through Zain Ventures.

Zain Vice Chairman and Group CEO Bader Al-Kharafi highlighted the programme’s role in converting ideas into scalable businesses, emphasising mentorship, ecosystem support, and access to markets as key enablers of innovation. The latest edition integrated Zain Ventures’ investment capabilities with ZainTECH’s expertise in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and cybersecurity to help startups strengthen technical readiness and commercial viability.

Participants progressed through intensive mentoring, bootcamps, and an international acceleration phase in Silicon Valley, culminating in Demo Day presentations aimed at securing partnerships and funding opportunities. The programme continues to serve as a bridge between regional entrepreneurship and global technology ecosystems, reinforcing Zain’s broader vision of supporting knowledge-based economies and digital innovation across its operating markets.
