Ooredoo appoints Ghanim Al Muftah as Brand Ambassador and launches Ramadan 2026 initiatives

DOHA — Ooredoo has announced the appointment of Ghanim Al Muftah as its new Brand Ambassador alongside the launch of its Ramadan 2026 initiatives, reflecting the company’s focus on community engagement, social impact, and cultural connection during the Holy Month. The announcement was made during Ooredoo’s Ramadan press conference in Doha.

The partnership with Ghanim Al Muftah, widely recognised as a motivational speaker and youth advocate, aligns with Ooredoo’s objective of promoting positive role models and inspiring communities through initiatives that emphasise resilience, inclusion, and empowerment. The collaboration forms part of the company’s broader strategy to strengthen its connection with local audiences through purpose-driven engagement.

Under the theme “Experience Togetherness this Ramadan,” Ooredoo introduced a multi-pillar programme spanning charitable, cultural, sporting, and digital initiatives. Central to the campaign is Rafeeq Al-Khair, a community outreach effort focused on distributing Iftar meals and food baskets across Qatar. In partnership with Qatar Charity, the company will also support the “Iftar Al Jawal” initiative, providing ready-to-eat meals for fasting individuals ahead of sunset.

The programme also includes community visits supporting cancer patients, children with autism, kidney patients, and individuals with disabilities, reinforcing the company’s community-focused approach. Digital and spiritual engagement initiatives include support for the Dooh Qur’an Competition and the Nadeeb Qatar digital programme, alongside interactive social media content throughout Ramadan.

Sport and cultural engagement remain key components of the initiative, with Ooredoo supporting events such as the Al Kass Ramadan Padel Tournament, the Ekbes Beach Volleyball Championship, and Ramadan activations at The Pearl, Gewan Island, and West Walk in collaboration with United Development Company. These initiatives aim to promote active lifestyles while celebrating local heritage and community traditions.

Through the combined launch of its ambassador partnership and Ramadan initiatives, Ooredoo continues to position itself as a community-driven telecom operator, leveraging connectivity and social engagement to support Qatar’s broader social and cultural development objectives.
