Azercell Telecom has initiated the next phase of its “Crisis Management Group” (CMG) project, reinforcing efforts to ensure uninterrupted communication infrastructure during emergencies and crisis situations.
The initiative focuses on enhancing coordinated national response mechanisms and strengthening the overall resilience of Azerbaijan’s telecommunications network. As part of the rollout, a working meeting was held with representatives from the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and “Aztelekom” LLC to review a phased implementation plan and discuss roadmap priorities. The session also addressed strategies to improve coordination and collaboration among partner institutions.
Operating under the motto “Reliable networks, secure life!”, the CMG project aims to advance regional resource management processes and establish rapid service restoration mechanisms during crisis events. The program is designed to enhance preparedness for structured and systematic recovery operations across the country.
The collaborative framework developed under the CMG ensures efficient information exchange between institutions and more effective allocation of technical and operational resources, further reinforcing the resilience of national telecom infrastructure.
The initial phase of the project, completed in 2024, established operational crisis management teams, conducted regional simulation exercises, and significantly improved service restoration timelines.
