Medical Korea 2026 to Highlight AI-Powered Global Healthcare and Medical Tourism

The 16th Global Healthcare & Medical Tourism Conference is scheduled for March 19–22 at COEX, Seoul, South Korea.

SEOUL, South Korea — Medical Korea 2026, the 16th Global Healthcare & Medical Tourism Conference, will take place from March 19–22, 2026, at COEX in Seoul. Hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and organized by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI), the conference will bring together global healthcare leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to explore the future of AI-powered healthcare and cross-border medical services.

Since its launch in 2010, Medical Korea has served as a platform for global dialogue on healthcare innovation and medical tourism. This year’s conference will focus on the theme “AI-Powered Global Healthcare: Bringing the Future and the World Closer,” highlighting how artificial intelligence is transforming healthcare delivery, accelerating digital transformation, and strengthening international medical collaboration.

The program will feature an Opening Ceremony, eight Conference Sessions, Business Meetings, G2G Meetings, an Exhibition, FAM Tours, and the Medical Korea Gala Dinner.

During the Opening Ceremony, keynote speeches will be delivered by Eun-Young Jung, Director General for Healthcare Industry Policy at the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and Edward Marx, CEO of Marx Advisory. In his keynote address titled “The Healthcare World is Flat: How New Technologies Impact Global Health,” Marx will explore how emerging technologies, including AI, are reshaping the structure, accessibility, and equity of global healthcare systems.

The conference sessions will feature more than 40 domestic and international speakers discussing AI-driven healthcare innovation, medical tourism strategies, digital health trends, and developments in AI-powered medical technologies.

Business Meetings will provide structured networking opportunities focused on attracting overseas patients and expanding international healthcare services. G2G Meetings will facilitate discussions between governments and healthcare organizations to strengthen cooperation in healthcare and medical tourism.

The exhibition will feature three dedicated pavilions highlighting global healthcare collaboration, the competitiveness of Korea’s medical services industry, and the Medical Korea platform. These pavilions will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of international medical capabilities and partnership opportunities.

The Medical Korea Gala Dinner, scheduled for March 19, will serve as a networking event for global healthcare leaders. The evening will also host the first Global Medical Advertising Awards Ceremony and a celebration event for the Medical Charity Program.

Andy Hong, Director of the Department of Global Healthcare Business (Inbound) at KHIDI, said the conference will bring together global experts to address emerging trends and key challenges in AI-driven healthcare. He added that AI-powered innovation will play a critical role in strengthening global collaboration and advancing the future of healthcare.
