Orange Jordan Boosts Educational Startups in Palestine with Strategic Funding

Orange Jordan is intensifying its support for entrepreneurial growth and sustainability through its various programs. A prime example is Jusoor Labs, an innovative startup from the BIG by Orange program’s 10th season, which recently secured financial backing from the Intersect Innovation Hub.

This strategic investment aims to empower businesses in Palestine to continue delivering essential services despite regional challenges. Jusoor Labs, supported by notable investors like Google, Y Combinator, and Wamda Capital, is dedicated to revolutionizing educational services in the region. The startup focuses on providing interactive educational content in both Arabic and English, targeting a broad range of students.

With the new funding, Jusoor Labs plans to expand its interactive virtual labs, which offer students hands-on learning experiences that mimic traditional laboratory settings. Tawfiq Al-Qafaf, co-founder of Jusoor Labs, expressed gratitude for the support from Intersect Innovation Hub and highlighted the crucial role of Orange Jordan in facilitating connections with significant investors and stakeholders, thereby fueling growth for startups like his.

Al-Qafaf also pointed out that participating in the BIG by Orange program opened doors to numerous opportunities, including a commendable second place at the Orange Social Venture Prize and participation at VivaTech in France.

Currently, Jusoor Labs impacts about 50,000 users and collaborates with 50 private schools, providing 240 labs and 3D scientific content tailored to science curricula across Arab countries. The startup is ambitiously planning to increase its market value to €100 million within five years, aiming to double its user base to 10 million and expand into 10 countries across the Middle East and North Africa.
