Deloitte has officially launched the Deloitte Innovation Hub in Cairo as part of a strategic investment totaling $30 million, set to be allocated over three years. This investment reflects Deloitte’s recognition of Egypt’s rich talent pool in fields such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business & Information Systems, and Data Engineering.
The launch event was attended by Egypt’s Minister of Information, Communications and Technology (ICT), Amr Talaat, and the CEO of the Egyptian Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), Ahmed El Zaher. The delegation was received by Richard Houston, CEO of Deloitte North and South Europe, and Mutasem Dajani, CEO of Deloitte Middle East, alongside Hani Girgis, the leader of the Deloitte Innovation Hub.
Girgis stated, “Our investment in the Deloitte Innovation Hub demonstrates our commitment to the Egyptian market and a strong vote of confidence in its ability to nurture world-class talent. The Innovation Hub will allow us to foster local talent, creating a meaningful impact on Egyptian society and delivering exceptional value to our clients in Europe and the Middle East.”
The Deloitte Innovation Hub in Cairo is among the firm’s pioneering delivery centers, having commenced operations in September 2023. Since then, it has quickly expanded to include over 350 of Egypt’s top talents, ranging from fresh graduates to seasoned professionals, reinforcing its commitment to developing and empowering local talent.
The hub is set to offer a comprehensive suite of services for clients across Europe and the region, focusing on areas such as Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis, Marketing & Commerce, Cloud, Cybersecurity, and Enterprise Resource Planning. Future expansion plans aim to grow the workforce to 5,000, diversifying Deloitte’s service offerings and enhancing its impact across various business verticals.
