PM Shehbaz Sharif Pledges to Reach $25 Billion IT Export Target and Announces Optimism for 5G Launch in Pakistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to achieving $25 billion in IT exports over the next three years, while also expressing optimism about the upcoming launch of 5G services in Pakistan.

In a meeting with a private sector delegation in Islamabad, PM Shehbaz emphasized the government’s continuous efforts to bolster and promote the telecommunications sector. He highlighted that achieving the $25 billion IT export target will significantly contribute to the government’s vision for a Digital Pakistan, helping to modernize the country’s digital landscape.

The Prime Minister further underscored the critical role of the telecom sector in advancing a cashless and digital economy. He stated that the introduction of 5G will improve internet reliability and speed across the country, enabling more efficient communication and digital services.

The private sector delegation expressed their appreciation for the government’s efforts to stabilize the economy, commending Pakistan’s growing appeal as a destination for IT and telecom investments.
