Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc, a global leader in digital services, continued its commitment to community well-being by sponsoring the ‘Flare Fitness Athletes Games 2024’, also known as the ‘Flare Festival’. The event took place from November 21 to 23 at Marina Crescent and marked the fifth consecutive year of stc’s involvement in this premier sports event. The sponsorship is part of stc’s “Weyak” initiative, which is a key component of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, aimed at supporting local entrepreneurs and promoting sustainable, healthy lifestyles.
Flare Festival is one of Kuwait’s largest fitness events, known for attracting participants from across the region. This year, the festival saw over 3,500 registered competitors and more than 8,000 attendees over three days, all eager to cheer on athletes as they competed for various championship titles.
Throughout the event, stc’s Corporate Communications team, led by Ahmad Al-Nuwaibet, PR and Social Media Manager, along with members of stc’s sofara’a program, were actively engaged. They not only supported the event’s organization but also interacted with attendees to share insights into stc’s latest initiatives and offerings.
In recognition of its continued support, stc was honored during the closing ceremony by Deputy Chair of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, Sheikh Mubarak Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. stc expressed its gratitude to the individuals and teams whose efforts made the festival a success.
