Jordan’s telecommunications sector experienced significant growth in Q4 2024, driven by a rise in data consumption and the rapid adoption of 5G. Fixed-line subscriptions saw a slight decline, while mobile broadband and 5G subscriptions surged. Data usage and text messaging also saw considerable increases during this period.
Bangladesh’s mobile phone production saw a decline in February 2025, with feature phones losing market share to smartphones and 5G devices. Production of 2G and 4G phones dropped, while 5G production grew modestly. Imports also reflected a shift towards advanced mobile technologies, particularly 4G and 5G smartphones.
