5G Launch

Tunisia has marked a technological milestone with the simultaneous launch of 5G services by Orange Tunisie, Ooredoo Tunisie, and Tunisie Télécom. The rollout follows licenses granted by the Tunisian Ministry of Communication Technologies, supporting the country’s digital transformation and enhancing network capabilities across various sectors, including business and entertainment.

Tunisia’s telecommunication companies—Tunisie Telecom, Orange Tunisie, and Ooredo—will begin offering 5G services from mid-February 2025. The companies have completed network upgrades and set up the necessary mechanisms to ensure a smooth transition, in line with ITU standards, marking a significant step in the country’s digital progress.
