Morocco will launch 5G in November 2025 following final government approval, beginning in eight cities including AFCON hosts. Backed by MAD 2.1 billion in licenses and MAD 80 billion in projected investments, the rollout will strengthen Morocco’s digital competitiveness under its Morocco Digital 2030 strategy.
Morocco will launch 5G services in November, with Maroc Telecom, Orange Maroc, and Inwi leading the rollout. Coverage will reach 45% of the population by 2026 and 85% by 2030. The move strengthens Morocco’s digital transformation, with 5G set to power smart cities, industry, and digital health.
Starting February 7, Morocco’s ANRT will evaluate the internet service quality provided by Maroc Telecom, Inwi, and Orange. Volunteers will have quality measurement equipment installed in their homes to assess latency, speed, and other indicators. The campaign aims to ensure compliance with international standards and improve service quality.
