The first edition of Invest-IT, a programme led by TIEC and ITIDA, showcased 15 Egyptian tech startups aiming to enhance investment readiness. In collaboration with Flat6Labs, it targets startups in the seed and pre-Series A stages, helping them secure funding and scale operations to drive sustainable growth.
Foundation Ventures, a Cairo-based venture capital firm, has secured the first close of its $25 million fund, “FVFII.” The fund will support startups in Egypt and Africa, focusing on driving innovation, regional expansion, and global competitiveness. Investors include the Egyptian American Enterprise Fund and MSMEDA.
Egypt launched the “Invest IT” program to boost investment readiness for tech startups, with government initiatives supporting skills development, international partnerships, and infrastructure. Despite a funding decline, Egypt remains a top MENA startup hub, with Invest IT fostering a resilient ecosystem for sustainable growth.
