The $38 million FBB-Tech electronics project has been launched in Egypt’s Sokhna Industrial Zone. Developed by China’s FBB-Tech and Hisense, it aims to produce 1 million units annually and create 337 jobs. The project supports Egypt’s goals to boost sustainable development and electronics manufacturing for local and export markets.
Egypt is solidifying its position as a leader in Africa’s electronics sector through the EME initiative, enhancing its smartphone manufacturing capabilities. Partnerships with major brands and substantial investments are establishing Egypt as a strategic production hub, generating significant employment opportunities despite facing infrastructural and logistical challenges.
Samsung Electronics plans to establish Egypt as a regional hub for electronics production and exports, targeting markets in the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. The company’s Beni Suef factory already exports 85% of its television production to 55 countries, creating 5,000 job opportunities and producing 6 million units annually.
