Dubai has launched an AI-powered Smart First Aid Kit that provides real-time, multilingual guidance during medical emergencies. Designed as a mobile app and digital portal, the system helps bystanders act in critical moments before paramedics arrive, strengthening community readiness and public safety.
The Ministry of Interior won the IoT Innovation Award for its “First Responder” project at the Bahrain Smart Cities Summit 2025. The award, presented by Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, recognizes the ministry’s efforts to improve emergency response efficiency, particularly in areas with traffic congestion and narrow streets.
The PTA and NDMA are partnering to improve emergency response in Pakistan, utilizing telecom infrastructure for automated services. Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja emphasized collaboration in disaster risk reduction, climate resilience, and agricultural technology to address Pakistan’s vulnerabilities, while proposing the creation of a National Digital Commission for unified governance.
