Orange Jordan has expanded its fiber network to Tafila and Aqaba, bringing high-speed internet to over 1.1 million homes nationwide. The rollout supports Jordan’s digital transformation goals, strengthens nationwide connectivity, and reinforces Orange Jordan’s position as the country’s fastest fixed fiber network.
North Africa saw significant improvements in fiber broadband deployment and performance in 2024, with Egypt leading in broadband speed. Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia also made notable progress, expanding fiber networks and improving speeds. Tunisia became the first in the region to launch 5G, further boosting connectivity.
WorldLink Communications has secured a €10 million investment from Finnfund to expand its fiber broadband network and build a Tier 3 data center in Nepal. This investment will help bridge the digital divide, enhance connectivity, and contribute to the country’s digital transformation. WorldLink is also planning an IPO.
