WiFi Nepal has launched a special NPL 2025 promotion offering customers a 12-month bonus internet subscription on the purchase of its 200 Mbps annual plan. Priced at Rs 11,750 including VAT, the package also includes a 5 GHz dual-band Nokia router for faster speeds, better coverage, and reduced interference.
Nepal’s telecom regulator, NTA, has ordered all ISPs to obtain official tariff approval before offering services, citing growing complaints over arbitrary pricing. The directive enforces Section 42 of the Telecommunications Act and aims to ensure transparency, accountability, and consumer protection in internet service charges.
The Nepal Telecommunications Authority has revoked the licenses of two internet service providers, C Data Communication and Life Net, due to non-compliance with operating terms and failure to initiate the renewal process, respectively. Both companies must also fulfill required payments within 30 days as directed by the NTA.
