Egypt’s ITIDA, in partnership with NTI and Systel, has launched an enhanced summer internship program to train over 10,000 students in ICT and digital arts, offering specialized tracks, certification discounts, and hands-on telecom training to support Egypt’s digital economy growth.
The “Shaping Egypt AI Horizon” forum highlighted Egypt’s National AI Strategy (2025-2030), emphasizing AI infrastructure, talent, and regulation. ITIDA and 500 Global discussed fostering AI startups and addressing skill shortages. The strategy aims to build AI capabilities and increase AI adoption across various sectors and the workforce.
Konecta Group has signed an MoU with ITIDA to expand its operations in Egypt, establishing a regional headquarters in New Cairo. The $100 million investment will create 3,000 jobs, focusing on AI solutions, digital transformation, and multilingual customer services. The partnership will enhance Egypt’s IT sector and exports.
The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and Flat6Labs have launched the IT Invest program to support tech-enabled startups in Egypt. The initiative aims to equip seed and pre-Series A startups with training, resources, and networking opportunities to enhance their investment prospects and contribute to economic growth.
