Microsoft has appointed Mohamed Kassem as General Manager of Microsoft Egypt, effective December 1, 2025. With nearly 20 years at Microsoft, Kassem will lead strategy and operations, partnering with government and enterprises to accelerate Egypt’s digital transformation across cloud, AI, and cybersecurity.
Microsoft’s AI Tour arrived in Cairo to demonstrate AI’s impact on Egypt’s digital transformation. The event, coinciding with Microsoft’s 30th anniversary in Egypt, showcased AI’s role in enhancing productivity and public services. It aligns with Egypt’s AI Strategy (2025-2030) and highlights Microsoft’s commitment to fostering innovation across sectors.
Egypt’s Ministry of Supply and Microsoft discussed collaboration on digital transformation and database integration to enhance government services. The meeting also reviewed automation projects and plans for new initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and trade practices.
