Jordan’s mobile phone imports in Q1 2025 totaled 306,000 units worth JD38.6 million, a slight increase in value compared to the previous year. However, the quantity dropped significantly due to rising global smartphone prices. Pricing variations were influenced by consumer demand, with high-end models dominating in markets like the US.
Nepal’s smartphone imports have decreased in volume but increased in value, with 1.1 million units imported in the past six months, valued at Rs. 16.71 billion. This shift reflects growing consumer interest in higher-end smartphones, such as the Samsung S24, as users upgrade to more advanced models with AI support.
