Oman has partnered with Airbus Space Systems to build and launch OmanSat-1, its first communications satellite. Based on the OneSat platform, the satellite will support regional communications and advance Oman’s National Space Policy. The project includes local workforce training, industry participation and long-term ambitions to develop a national space industry.
Omani satellite manufacturer Spazers has partnered with Australia’s Southern Cross Space to enhance satellite imaging and analytics capabilities. The agreement aims to leverage advanced technologies, supporting Oman’s goal of becoming a regional hub for space activities and contributing to the digital economy’s growth by 10% by 2040.
