Pakistan’s mobile phone imports declined significantly by over 16% in the first eleven months of FY25, with a steep drop recorded in May 2025. However, overall merchandise exports showed positive growth of 5.15%, while total imports increased by 7.5%, indicating broader trade dynamics beyond the mobile sector.
Mobile phone imports in Pakistan declined by 16.31% in July-May 2024-25, with a sharp 35.83% drop in May 2025 compared to last year. Despite this, overall merchandise exports rose by 5.15%, while total imports increased by 7.50% in the same period.
Mobile phone imports in Pakistan declined 14.21% during July-April 2025 to $1.254 billion. April imports fell 22.47% year-on-year. Meanwhile, overall exports grew 6.40%, and total imports increased 7.55%, reflecting broad economic demand despite the mobile sector slowdown.
