Tunisia is poised to enhance its digital infrastructure with the introduction of 5G technology, expected by year-end. This initiative, part of a broader digital transformation strategy, involves major telecom providers like Tunisie Telecom, Ooredoo Tunisie, and Orange Tunisie, who have recently applied for 5G licenses.
Md Nahid Islam, adviser for Telecommunications in Bangladesh, urged telecom operators to introduce unlimited internet packages to cater to young consumers’ demands during a meeting with Banglalink officials. Discussions also included reducing SIM card taxes and addressing restrictions on the Toffee app.
Bahrain hosted the ITU Digital Skills Forum, with discussions led by key global telecommunications leaders on advancing digital skills to support digital transformation. The forum highlighted initiatives to bridge the digital skills gap and align with Bahrain’s Vision 2030, receiving international recognition for its strategic approach.
