Colombo, November 3, 2025 — The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) has conducted the second Progress Presentations of its Research and Development (R&D) Program, spotlighting innovative collaborations between academia and industry designed to accelerate technological advancement in the nation’s telecommunications sector.
Sri Lanka will begin Starlink internet service with a one-week trial monitored by TRCSL and the Ministry of Defence. Following technical review, the country plans to expand Starlink access nationwide.
