According to the Speedtest Global Index, Qatar achieved the fastest mobile internet speed in the world in May 2024. The median download speed in Qatar was 329.37 Mbps, while the upload speed reached 25.36 Mbps.
Following Qatar in the rankings were the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Denmark, and Norway, occupying the next four positions respectively.
The Speedtest Global Index updates its results mid-month for the previous month. To be ranked, locations must have at least 300 unique user results for mobile or fixed broadband.
